Ideal candidates will already have notched up a number of years of experience in heir search or family research (not necessarily at a professional level) and will be able to work with historical and legal online databases. Moreover, they should be au fait with the archive system and familiar with old style handwriting.  

In addition, a genuine interest in emigration issues and international inheritance law and knowledge of foreign languages is of a distinct advantage. On top of that, candidates who have also completed studies in the fields of history or law have the perfect prerequisites for a job as a genealogist in our office.
